About the Role:

The primary function of the Weekend Qualitative Coding Specialist is to work with Fathom's AI to generate, revise, and apply themes, codeframes and insights to customer data. This role oversees the generation of themes and insights Friday-Sunday, provides weekend support to customers using the Fathom platform, and is responsible for weekend project management functions related to the coding system and on-call qualitative coders. This role reports to the Qualitative Coding Program Manager, and collaborates with Customer Success, Product and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Work with AI to code qualitative data: Process customer data using Fathom AI software to label verbatims, identify themes, & deliver insights in dashboards
• Customer Support: Support customer needs with onboarding, troubleshooting and optimizing their product experience as directed by Director of Customer Success
• Quality review and feedback to coding team : Review finalized code frames processed by other qualitative coders for quality and provide feedback as needed
• Project Management of coding team: Schedule, manage and support PT coding workers; and oversee the project management systems for this workforce
• Format data files : Wrangle, reformat and transform customer data as necessary for platform integration and customer success
• Process translation: Translate customer files from other languages to English leveraging software solutions
• Testing and feedback: Support product, engineering and data science as requested to test, support development of, and provide feedback on new tools and features

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in market research, public opinion polling or consumer insights
• Excellent qualitative coding and/or text analysis skills
• Excellent reading and comprehension skills in English
• Excel skills with fluency in format conversion and data manipulation
• A proven record in team leadership (volunteer capacity is fine)
• Competency with basic project management functions (more is a bonus)
• Preliminary competency + a ton of curiosity about software and AI
• Enjoy customer interaction and supporting others in solving problems
• Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skill

Compensation

This is a part-time position. This role requires 20 hours/week, spread across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, at a rate of 26.50/hour.
