Job Description

A global industrial machine manufacturer is looking for a Sales / Field Service Technician based out of the Calgary, AB area. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial automation equipment repair/Trouble shoot and have a mechanical academic background. Sales training will be provided. This is a full-time, direct hire position. Nature of the job, this will require request travel to British Columbia to Saskatchewan territory.

Responsibilities of Field Service Technician:

• Travel locally and nationwide to customer locations to identity any technical problems and perform on-site repair
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and on-site service for products or equipment at client locations.
• Identify customer needs, recommend suitable products or solutions, and support the sales process to achieve targets.
• Oversee or perform the installation, commissioning, and testing of equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
• Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients to ensure effective usage and satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate service reports, sales records, and customer feedback to ensure smooth communication and process improvements.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of Field Service Technician:

• Associate’s degree in engineering preferred or a 2-year Technical Degree
• 1+ years maintenance or related experience (Such as Intern or Apprenticeship) required (such as the Industrial, Manufacturing or Automotive industry)
• Able to travel for projects, including some overnight. Travel would be Monday through Friday with weekends off. Expenses are covered.
• Must have a mechanical and/or electrical background
• Must have valid deriver's license
• Available for frequent travel up to 90% within BC, AB and SK.
• French Bilingual skill is an asset
• This position is in a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
