Job Description

LeverageTek Staffing Solutions is actively seeking a Leadership Coach for a part-time 6-month contract with it’s Ottawa based customer.

Remote

Key Tasks

• Assess leadership style and development needs through initial evaluations and goal-setting with the manager.
• Design and deliver a tailored coaching plan focused on improving delegation, trust, and time management.
• Facilitate regular one-on-one coaching sessions (remote) to support behavior change and leadership growth.
• Coach on effective delegation and team empowerment to reduce micromanagement and build trust.
• Support improvement in time management and prioritization, helping the manager reduce over-involvement in daily tasks.
• Guide the shift from controlling to coaching leadership, fostering a more collaborative, empowering style.
• Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the director, with clear measures of success and retention impact.

Key Qualifications

• Demonstrated success coaching managers on delegation, trust-building, and leadership style transformation.
• Strong understanding of how leadership behaviors impact morale, retention, and performance in high-functioning teams.
• Ability to foster trust, encourage autonomy, and guide leaders toward a more coaching-oriented leadership approach.

Other Qualifications

• Preferred certifications include ICF (International Coaching Federation), EMCC, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to help leaders improve focus, manage workload, and reduce unnecessary involvement in operations.
• Ability to build rapport, navigate sensitive issues, and create a safe space for growth and reflection.
• Skilled in helping leaders evolve their approach and adopt new mindsets.
• Familiarity with coaching leaders who manage distributed or virtual teams.
• Able to provide clear, insightful progress updates to stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality
