Job Description

As our Warehouse Shipper, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate shipment of our products to customers. This 6-month contract position involves the following key responsibilities:

• Package and ship products accurately and efficiently to meet customer orders.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on all outgoing orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Operate material handling equipment to load trucks and process shipments effectively.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations to maintain a secure workplace.
• Report any shipping discrepancies or issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular stock management tasks.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall warehouse operations as needed.
• Perform regular cleaning and organization duties to maintain a tidy work environment.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management to support business needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position must possess the following

qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma (OSSGD) or equivalent is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in shipping and receiving operations is essential.
• Certifications: Crane and Forklift certification is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
• Physical Requirements: The ability to lift and handle 50 pounds on a regular basis is a critical component of this role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (specifically SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite is a strong asset.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication abilities and a proven track record of effective teamwork and collaboration are crucial.
• Work Ethic: The successful candidate must demonstrate self-motivation, punctuality, versatility, and maintain a consistently positive attitude.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a meticulous approach to work are imperative.
• Independence: The capacity to work efficiently with minimal supervision is a key requirement for this position.
