Job Description

Our client, a major real estate developer in the Lower Mainland, is seeking a Site Superintendent for a large concrete tower project in Coquitlam. Specializing in concrete high-rise and wood-frame townhouse projects, our client is a leader in the real estate development industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Senior Site Superintendent in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Supervise and coordinate site activities, including managing subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.
• Monitor quality control, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
• Ensure the project site is organized, clean, and compliant with all safety regulations.
• Assist in managing and tracking project progress, including reporting on key performance metrics.
• Coordinate site meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Resolve site issues and ensure that any challenges are addressed efficiently.
• Assist with the planning and scheduling of work, ensuring efficient use of labor and resources.
• Contribute to the training and development of junior staff on-site.
• Promote a positive and productive team environment.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Assistant or full Site Superintendent on concrete high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management, and scheduling software.
• Experience working with large-scale concrete construction projects.
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple tasks, and handle the pressures of fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications.
• A desire to grow within the industry and take on more responsibility in the future.
