This opportunity is with a technology-driven media company that provides a platform for the search, discovery, and monetization of online video content. Our client manages one of the fastest ad platforms in the world, handling up to 800,000 transactions per second on Linux-based C++ backend servers, mostly in AWS. They're looking for developers to take this platform to the next level and expand it to handle our growing business. Responsibilities: -Back-end architecture, design and development of on-line ad serving system -Web programming development using the latest technologies -Research and develop new features -Assist in maintaining current Linux platforms and update as needed -Assist in testing and debugging new features and updates -Performs other duties as required or assigned Qualifications: -5+ years experience in back-end web design and development -BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar. -Experience in architecting/designing back-end web serving systems -Experience in web serving to mobile devices helpful -Strong knowledge of C/C++ -Strong knowledge of Apache web server development -Strong knowledge of Linux -Working knowledge of Perl -Working knowledge of Redis/memcached -Working knowledge of HTML -Working knowledge of JavaScript -Knowledge of SQL helpful -Knowledge of on-line ad serving helpful -Ability to work independently, in a team, and in a deadline-oriented environment.
