About the Position

As a Sales Consultant, you will grow and develop the business in Canada together with the Canadian Sales Manager, engaging with greenhouse builders, growers, and screen installers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, family-oriented business culture that values honesty, innovation, and a down-to-earth approach. We’re seeking someone with a proven track record in CEA sales and business development, with an understanding of grower challenges and expectations. To be successful in this role, you need to be a team player with a hands-on approach and an entrepreneurial spirit. This is a remote position based in Ontario, Canada, and reports directly to the General Manager at Ludvig Svensson’s US HQ in Charlotte, NC. Up to 50% of travel is required, primarily in Canada, with some travel to Europe. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage budget, sales, and expenses in alignment with the Grant of Authorities
  • Execute business plans with a focus on achieving commercial KPIs
  • Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities with key growers across Canada, with an emphasis on the Leamington/Kingsville region
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers through key account management plans
  • Provide climate advice and support to growers and greenhouse builders, including after-sales follow-up
  • Deliver written and verbal Svensson climate recommendations and ensure proper implementation of grower projects
  • Record customer interactions in Salesforce, following the Svensson Sales Process
  • Apply value-based selling techniques in grower meetings
  • Collaborate with the President/General Manager and Canadian Sales Manager on annual business and marketing plans
  • Represent Svensson at trade shows and industry events
  • Contribute to strategy discussions and bring ideas for business growth

What We Expect From You

Your Work Experience, Education & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in the CEA industry, with a solid understanding of grower needs and challenges
  • Strong grasp of greenhouse climate, technology, and crop production, ideally with knowledge of Plant Empowerment principles
  • Proven consultative selling skills and a track record of achieving targets
  • Self-started with entrepreneurial drive and a hands-on approach, comfortable working on-site with growers
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Experience within an international matrix organization is a big plus
  • French language proficiency is a plus
  • High integrity, accuracy, and technical aptitude
