Job Description

The Property Accountant will support accounting and financial reporting, overseeing financial reports, cash management, and the general ledger for a portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial reports according to deadlines, following accounting policies and maintaining internal controls.
• Generate financials for multiple clients with varying reporting requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with clients and property management, providing exceptional customer service.
• Utilize technical accounting skills to evaluate the appropriateness of accounting treatments and manage cash flow for property expenses.
• Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and perform cash disbursements while maintaining daily cash balance and completing other assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in accountingMust have property accounting experience
• Must have experience working in Yardi accounting software
• Must have excellent critical thinking skills

The annual base salary for this position is $50000 - $65000 per year (excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
