TSG STAFFING SERVICES we are always recruiting in anticipation of our client’s future needs. As such, we are continuing to search for PROJECT ENGINEERS for potential upcoming projects.
Job Description:
Safely manage several sustaining capital projects in the range of $1-10M, following clients project management processes
Typical projects will include heat exchanger replacements, trip system improvements, and large rotating equipment replacements
Drive the projects from concept, through engineering and construction, and to commissioning, startup, and closeout
Run the day-to-day proceedings of the projects, including internal/external meetings, stage gate reviews, funding requests, procurement processes, etc.
Report, monthly, on scope, cost, and schedule
Manage project documentation and ensure proper closeout shortly after execution
Regularly spend time in the operating plant to ensure scope is correct, work is proceeding safely, and relationships with Ops/Maintenance are maintained
Maintain excellent working relationships with engineers, operators, tradespeople, vendors, and management
Job Requirements:
Must have experience with sustaining capital, multi-disciplinary, brownfield projects
Degree in Engineering – Mechanical or Chemical preferred – and in good standing as a P.Eng. with APEGA
5-20 years of project management experience
Ability to work in an office and industrial operating plant environment with a high degree of interaction between management, technical, maintenance and operations teams
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and Primavera
Able to work with minimal supervision and must be highly motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
