CMS Group LTD is currently looking to hire a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join our growing organization. Reporting into the Senior Estimator and Vice President, The Mechanical Estimating Coordinator will work in a high-performance mid- size team and be responsible for the following duties inclusive but not limited to:
• Review proposal specifications, drawings and scope of work in order to analyze and produce estimates.
• Monitor client changes and advise team members of all changes in scope during estimate period
• Monitor actual cost to estimated cost
• Prepare change orders, credits and any extra work items for awarded contracts
• Preparation and printing of drawings
• Preparation of bid files and collection of all required supplier quotes
• Execute client requests and deadlines on any assigned estimates
• Customer and supplier inquiry & update calls
• Update estimating schedule and assist Estimating team in scheduling calls, meetings, and other time sensitive items
• Update Vice President and Estimating Manager on new and existing estimates
• Work cross functionally with operations, vendor and subcontractors to optimize cost effectiveness on bids.
In order to qualify for the position, candidates must possess the following skill set.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an estimating role within a mechanical or related trade environment (plumbing, HVAC) specifically with ICI commercial projects in Toronto
• Advanced multi-tasking abilities
• Ability to communicate well with clients and work in a collaborative team setting
• Advanced Outlook and Microsoft Word
• Basic Excel capabilities
• Accubid experience would be considered an asset **
• Must be a permanent resident of Canada and have a valid drivers license to report to our head office located at 9133 Leslie St Unit 110 Richmond Hill ON
