Gymnastics Gym Part time Bookkeeper Location Surrey, BC :

Bookkeeper Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor finances of Surrey Gymnastic Society and report and reconcile discrepancies with assistance of the Board of Directors.
- Investigate and audit finances of Surrey Gymnastic Society
- Maintaining bank accounts, making deposits and paying invoices on time
- Maintaining accounts payable & receivables into the Quickbooks program
- Completing monthly bank account reconciliation.
- Run payroll using Payworks
- Running payments for competitive families on the 1st of each month
- Sending competitive families their monthly statements.
- Prepare and send work safe BC reports filings
- Preparing year-end financial statements with accountants.
- Implementing the policies set by the Board of Directors.
- Producing revenue & expense budget spreadsheet for Board meetings. As necessary, provide financial information to various departments.
- Maintaining electronic and paper: payroll files, spreadsheets and personnel files.
- Ensuring all program staff's time and attendance sheets are accurate and on time
- Confirming timesheet irregularities for competitive and recreational staff with payroll.
- Assisting with the athlete competition registration.
- Ordering office supplies. (i.e. letterhead/envelopes, banners, signage)
- Working with Office Assistant to ensure all competitive clothing is ordered, organized and paid.
- Collecting all monies for events and fees for each program and organizing competition registration payments.
- Maintaining all competitive information records and collecting payments.
- Ensuring members are in good standing financially.
- Working with the President to establish a yearly budget. Ensuring the program stays within the constraints of the budget.
- Converting competitive registration to a paperless system using iclasspro.
- Apply refunds for recreational and competitive programs according to policies and contracts
- Being available over the weekend at the Surrey Invitational/ Carol Lentz Memorial meet every March to be overseeing all monies collected and volunteers over admissions, concession and gym store
- Willing to learn square tap, and the register to update the gym store item list, take payments etc
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.15-$33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 18 per week
