TalentWorld is recruiting a Food Technologist (R&D) in Northeast Calgary, Alberta, for one of our partners.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and testing new food products (snacks, plant-based foods, etc.) from concept to production
  • Research and test innovative ingredients to improve quality, cost, and nutrition
  • Conduct lab tests (texture, moisture, shelf-life) and organize taste panels
  • Troubleshoot production issues and help scale up successful recipes
  • Ensure all products meet food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, allergens)
  • Document experiments and report findings to the R&D team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in food science, Biochemistry, or related field
  • Certifications (preferred): HACCP, PCQI
  • Lab equipment: Texture analyzer, pH meter, moisture analyzer
  • Software: Excel (pivot tables, data analysis), Minitab/JMP (basic stats)
  • Bonus: Basic Python/R for data
  • 2+ years in food R&D, QA, or production (internships count!)
  • Experience with snacks/bakery/plant-based foods a plus
  • Meticulous with data & documentation
  • Curious problem-solver
  • Team player with strong communication
Employment Details
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Location: Northeast Calgary, Alberta
  • Type: Permanent
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
