About the Role
The Company is in search of a Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for the Finance and Administration Portfolio. This executive-level position is pivotal in providing strategic direction and management oversight to various departments, including budget and strategic planning, finance, human resources, information technology, and procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of goals, policies, and performance standards, as well as promoting innovation, effective service delivery, and the efficient use of resources. Duties also include long-range project oversight, citywide financial reporting, and compliance, and contributing to the development of the city's annual operating and capital budget. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, information technology, or accounting, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years' of experience, including significant management and supervisory experience in at least two of the functional areas, is required. The role demands a candidate with comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to the portfolio, financial management and reporting requirements, and a proven track record in strategic planning and employee engagement. The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer will be expected to have strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, and the ability to represent the city in various external interactions.
