About the Project:

The Eglinton Crosstown West Extension will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometres farther west, creating a continuous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga. The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components.

Position Overview:

The Procurement Coordinator will support the procurement and contract administration activities for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE) Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) Project. This role involves coordinating purchasing activities, preparing and issuing procurement documents, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and maintaining effective supplier and subcontractor relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with project management, engineering, and construction teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, issuance, and administration of procurement packages, requests for quotations (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and purchase orders.
  • Support bid evaluation, clarification, and recommendation processes in alignment with project requirements and procurement policies.
  • Track procurement deliverables, lead times, and supplier commitments to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Coordinate with project managers, estimators, engineers, and site teams to confirm specifications, quantities, and required delivery dates.
  • Maintain and update procurement logs, contract records, and vendor databases.
  • Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms, quality standards, and schedule requirements.
  • Assist in resolving procurement-related issues, including delays, variances, and non-conformance.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are in compliance with company policies, project requirements, and applicable laws/regulations.
  • Support reporting requirements, including procurement status updates and cost tracking for project management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction, infrastructure, or rail/transit sectors.
  • Knowledge of procurement practices, tendering processes, and contract administration.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and procurement/ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Enrollment in or completion of SCMP, PMAC, or equivalent certification considered an asset.
