Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing Practice and Education, the Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring all work is in alignment with the organization's missions, goals, values, and strategic plans to promote high quality, safe client care. This is accomplished by assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating unit orientation, in-servicing and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family centered care; participating in committee work as assigned; participating in continuous improvement activities; developing and maintaining client and staff resources. The CNE will function as a member of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care in the SHR, including regular direct communication and input from the unit Manager(s) of Nursing.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Certificate
Current CPR Certification
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Experience
3 years recent full-time equivalent experience in oncology/hematology nursing. Previous experience in coordinating quality management activities. Previous nursing education experience preferred. Clinical leadership role (charge nurse, clinical coordinator, or equivalent) experience is preferred. Previous experience in a formal clinical related teaching and mentoring is an asset.

Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
