Join Excel’s Board of Directors

Excel Society is seeking dynamic and committed leaders to join our Board of Directors. As a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate care and support for individuals living with disabilities and complex needs, Excel is guided by a strong Board that ensures sound governance, accountability, and visionary leadership.

We believe that strong governance is rooted in diverse voices and lived experiences. Excel welcomes Board members who bring different perspectives, backgrounds, and insights that reflect the people and communities we support.

We are currently looking to add new Board members who bring expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Influencer / Community Connector – Ability to champion Excel’s mission, enhance community relationships, elevate our profile, and raise interest across donor and government networks.
• Industry Expert – Knowledge of the social services or healthcare sector.
• Human Resources Professional – Expertise in people strategy, workforce planning and management, and organizational culture.
• Finance Professional – Strong background in accounting, financial oversight and governance.
• Health, Safety and Risk Management Professional – Experience in organizational health, safety and risk assessment, mitigation planning, and governance oversight.
• IT / Cyber Security Specialist – Experience with digital transformation, data protection, and technology governance.
• First Responder or Emergency Services Professional – Background in emergency response, crisis management, and safety planning.
