The Opportunity
This position is responsible for ensuring that software applications function effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of the business. This includes development, enhancements and support of various software applications within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Write, test, debug, and maintain software code according to operational requirements and coding standards. Use programming languages and development tools to build applications, modules, and components that meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Operation, configuration, maintenance and support of operational applications including development of reports and queries.
  • Develop and conduct thorough testing plans of applications to identify and resolve defects, errors, and inconsistencies.
  • Coordinate the deployment and rollout of applications, ensuring smooth transition from development to production environments.
  • Monitor system performance, address user issues, and implement updates or enhancements to ensure system reliability and usability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of software design, code, configuration, and processes.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, programming languages, and development methodologies to enhance skills and expertise.
  • Seek opportunities for innovation and optimization to improve software quality, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
Your qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Business Administration or Software Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in developing and supporting computer systems, adhering to business requirements and standards, and supporting change management.
  • Superior problem-solving abilities in complex computing environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
