American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position requiring night shifts and concurrent experience in both adult med-surg and pediatric care.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Position is in a hospital-based pediatrics unit with some post-partum couplets and adult med-surg cases
  • Possible floating to OB unit and other hospital locations as needed
  • Patient population may fluctuate between all pediatric or all adult at different times
  • 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with requirement for holiday coverage
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • EMR used is Cerner; prior experience is preferred but not required
  • Local candidates accepted with local pay rate if living within a 50-mile radius
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • A flexible and adaptable approach is essential due to alternating adult and pediatric assignments
  • Weekly orientation provided
  • Returning permanent staff may be eligible to travel after a 12-month break in service
  • A skills checklist in the relevant specialty is required
  • Three references, including two from leadership, will be needed after commitment
  • Requested time off must be included at time of application
  • Holiday shift coverage is expected

  • Active NH or compact RN license required at time of consideration (no temporary license accepted)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • 1-2 years of recent experience in adult medical-surgical and general pediatrics required
  • Two recent references from charge nurses or managers in relevant specialties required
  • Drivers license with address matching applicant demographics required
  • EMPC certification preferred
  • Willingness to float to other units and hospital sites
