Job Description

Applus is a leading global provider of testing, inspection, and certification services. We work across a wide range of industries to ensure the safety, quality, and performance of our clients' products and operations.

The Technical Project Specialist will be responsible for independently completing key projects of strategic value for the company. These projects will relate to efficiency or quality improvement, or expansion into new products or markets. They will be focused on a small number of technical projects at any given time, which will consume 80% or more of their time, and will bring them to a rapid conclusion with significant positive benefit for the company.

This position is 100% in-office to start, with the potential for up to 20% remote work after 3 months, subject to prior approval.

About Us : Applus+ Nray Services performs neutron radiography for aerospace customers out of the McMaster Nuclear Reactor and the North Carolina State University Nuclear Reactor.

Qualifications :

  • 1+ year of experience
  • Engineering degree or comparable education and experience
  • Proficient in automation technologies and programming languages
  • Valid G class license and vehicle required
  • Passport required (average travel 1-3x per year to industry conferences or US site)

Duties :

  • Independently manage and execute technical improvement projects.
  • Actively support key growth initiatives. These could include expanding capacity, increasing efficiency or support for new markets or products.
  • Developing and reviewing internals and external technical documentation.
  • Identifying new projects to pursue.
  • Track and report project progress ensuring clear and timely communication with management.
  • Document technical findings, process improvements, and project outcomes for internal and external reporting.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure change management processes are completed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

  • Communication: Able to clearly articulate technical concepts, provide updates, and engage with stakeholders as needed.
