About The Role

We are looking for a customer-focused technical manager with a strong network and high level of knowledge of the US Dairy Industry to be part of a dynamic commercial team that offers expertise and value to our customers. The main purpose of this role is to provide technical support to marketing and sales colleagues for the Selko USA portfolio, maintain strong professional relationships with key decision-makers, influencers and consultants in the US Dairy Industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical Dairy expertise to internal teams and Selko's customer portfolio
• Build strong, positive professional relationships with key industry leaders
• Lead research and innovation projects developed in academic institutions, contract research organizations (CRO's), and commercial dairies
• Represent Selko at technical and scientific events

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications

• PhD Required: PhD degree in dairy nutrition
• Minimum of 4 years of industry experience
• Field experience with a high level of understanding of dairy farming, animal husbandry and management practices, and nutritional formulation and guidelines
• Proven track record of successfully recommending solutions to dairy farmers and consultant groups to support business growth

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations
• Ability to build and maintain strategic professional relationships
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to build collaborative relationships
• Strong business acumen
• Strong commitment to customer success
• Experience using ration formulation programs
• Strong PC skills, including MS Suite

Expectation from the Role

• Remote in the US Midwest or Eastern region with ability for frequent travel (>50%) to meet with customers, interact with decision-makers and industry influencers, attend technical and scientific events, internal and external meetings
