Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent will coordinate and supervise the work of electricians in their duties of performing installation, testing maintenance repairs, modifications, calibration, troubleshooting, commissioning and other duties associated with large hydroelectric generating plants, AC & DC switchyards, and the DC converter station.
The incumbent must ensure the necessary tools, equipment, spare parts, etc. are properly maintained and are available for use when needed. In addition, the incumbent will initiate improvement in work methods, materials and design; follows rigid work authorization and control procedures to improve unit service factors and to minimize maintenance cost, administer the collective agreement, and review and approve timesheets. The incumbent will provide specific assignments to each employee, make regular checks to ensure that work is being done in a safe and efficient manner, and that an appropriate level of productivity is maintained.

High school graduation and the attainment of Industrial Electrical Inter-provincial journeyperson status. A minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in utility maintenance supervisory function is also required.
