Our client, a respected public-sector organization providing workplace health, safety, and disability-management services, is seeking an experienced
Supervisor, Disability Case Management, to lead a small, dedicated team supporting employees and employers across Northern Canada.This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role that combines complex case oversight, policy interpretation, coaching, and team development — all while making a tangible difference in the lives of injured workers and their families. What You’ll Do - Supervise and mentor a team of Case Managers and Case Aides handling long-term, severe, and complex disability claims.
- Review, approve, and ensure quality of claim decisions, payments, and medical management plans.
- Provide guidance on legislative, policy, and procedural interpretation.
- Manage escalations and serve as a subject-matter expert in disability case management.
- Maintain a small portfolio (10–15 complex cases) to stay current with operational realities.
- Monitor workloads, performance, and quality metrics to ensure consistent service standards.
- Support the Manager with strategic initiatives, reporting, and continuous improvement projects.
About You - Minimum 5 years’ experience in disability case management , workers’ compensation, or insurance.
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or coaching role .
- Strong understanding of return-to-work, rehabilitation, and disability legislation.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Calm and professional under pressure, with excellent judgment and empathy.
- Comfortable working in a structured, policy-driven environment with a high degree of accountability.
- Post-secondary education in Health Sciences, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
