Job Title – Service Transformation Consultant (Digital Service Design & Delivery)

Location – Edmonton, Alberta, Canada – (Remote with occasional onsite meetings)

Employment Type – Contract (1 Year, Extendable up to 2 Years)

About the Role

We are seeking a Service Transformation Consultant to join our client, the Client supporting its Digital Design and Delivery Division (DDD). The successful candidate will lead and advise on strategic digital transformation initiatives across ministries, helping modernize public service delivery through human-centered design, agile product development, and organizational change leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on digital delivery, agile product development , and organizational transformation strategies.

• Lead and advise ministry teams on service innovation , governance, and capability building for digital initiatives.

• Facilitate strategic conversations with executives and cross-departmental leadership to align priorities and decision-making.

• Develop transformation frameworks, roadmaps, and success metrics to track outcomes and performance.

• Coach and mentor DDD and ministry partners on modern delivery practices , agile operations, and cultural adoption.

• Advise on the design and implementation of support models for digital products once live, ensuring long-term sustainability.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in agile software development and service design-based product delivery in large organizations (5,000+ employees).

• 5+ years of experience in organizational development and digital transformation initiatives of comparable scale and complexity.

• Proven experience advising senior executives on digital and organizational transformation strategies.

• Experience managing enterprise-level projects or programs within large public or private sector organizations.

• Strong background in change management, governance frameworks, and capability building.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills across executive and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with public sector central digital offices such as UK GDS, Ontario Digital Service, Canadian Digital Service, or equivalent.

• Exposure to government-wide service modernization initiatives or multi-ministry transformation projects.

• Familiarity with human-centered design, policy innovation, and data-driven decision-making frameworks.
