This Position reports to:
Engineering Manager I

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure that the activities related to engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the JPBAI ABB Bailey Japan Limited in Japan.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Acting as a role model in applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
• Serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods.
• Leading, supervising, and coordinates teams (5-25 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects of medium complexity.
• Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• Technical college graduate or higher
• JLPT N1 level or above in Japanese language and business level of English
• Expertise in the energy industry
• Expertise in engineering solutions
• Experience/skills communicating with global teams
• Expertise in DCS products *preferable
