Job Description

Our client, a well established general contractor based in Delta, BC, delivers large-scale commercial and industrial facilities across the Lower Mainland (warehouses, self-storage, food processing, showrooms, and business parks). They are seeking a Senior Site Superintendent to lead on-site delivery of multi-million-dollar projects from mobilization through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day site operations from site setup to turnover, driving safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Supervise field staff, subcontractors, and trades; plan and coordinate daily/weekly work.
  • Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules; coordinate inspections, permits, and material/equipment deliveries.
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively, maintaining budgets, timelines, and change coordination with the project team.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including diaries, RFIs, deficiency logs, safety records, and progress reports.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, company standards, and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
  • Liaise with project managers, consultants, and clients; represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Lead QA/QC, deficiency management, commissioning, occupancy, and closeout activities.
  • Mentor and guide foremen and junior staff; support a collaborative, accountable, and caring site culture.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • 10+ years of commercial/industrial construction supervisory experience with a proven track record delivering large projects.
  • Tilt-up construction experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, sequencing, and trade coordination.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced site environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP/project management software experience is an asset (training provided).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/specs; experienced with inspections and municipal processes.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean safety record.
