Job Description

A global cybersecurity leader is seeking a Senior Linux Internals Engineer to join their endpoint team in Tokyo. In this role, you'll design and develop Linux kernel-level components and system features that power next-generation threat detection. You'll work closely with security experts, backend developers, and product managers to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

• Design and optimize Linux kernel and system-level components for endpoint detection and response.
• Conduct low-level debugging, performance profiling, and kernel-mode optimizations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable delivery.
• Review code and mentor engineers on Linux and C++ best practices.
• Contribute to technical strategy and stay current with Linux kernel developments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Linux systems programming with deep knowledge of kernel internals.
• Expert-level C++ (11/14/17) and modern system-level programming.
• Proficiency with debugging/profiling tools (GDB, perf, ftrace, strace, auditd).
• Familiarity with Git, Make, CMake.
• Preferred: eBPF, scripting (Python/Bash), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), cybersecurity background, leadership in remote/distributed teams.
