Senior IT Lead

As a Senior IT Lead, you'll work closely with business teams and manage a focused group of software engineers while collaborating with key business stakeholders including product management, customer support, marketing, sales, and operations teams. This role puts you at the center of digital transformation projects, where you'll help translate business requirements from various departments into practical digital solutions that enhance both enterprise client experiences and consumer journeys. You'll serve as a reliable technology partner to business teams across multiple functions, supporting technology strategies that drive business outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:

Team Management & Development - Manage and support a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and helping foster a collaborative development environment
Digital Solution Development - Work with business teams to design and deliver digital platforms that enhance both B2B client experiences and B2C customer journeys
Business Stakeholder Collaboration - Act as technical liaison with stakeholders across product management, customer support, marketing, sales, and operations, helping translate business requirements into practical technology solutions
Cross-Functional Solution Delivery - Collaborate with product teams on feature development, customer support on service optimization, marketing on digital campaigns, and operations on process automation initiatives
Technology Implementation - Research and help implement digital technologies that address business needs across enterprise and consumer market segments
Business Process Support - Partner with operations teams to improve workflows, work with customer support to enhance service delivery systems, and collaborate with marketing on digital customer engagement platforms
Cross-Department Coordination - Support technical strategies across product, sales, marketing, and operations functions, ensuring IT initiatives align with departmental objectives and managing project expectations

Requirements:

Proven Team Experience - Minimum 5+ years of IT experience in business or consulting environments with demonstrated ability to manage small development teams effectively
Technical Expertise - 5+ years of hands-on software development experience combined with strong technical leadership capabilities
Business-Technology Integration - 3+ years of experience in financial services, consulting, or similar B2B/B2C industries with proven ability to bridge business and technology domains
Strategic & Business Understanding - Experience with IT strategy development and cost management with practical business impact
Development Proficiency - Deep knowledge of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and modern development tools (VS Code, Postman, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub)
Problem-Solving Skills - Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with experience managing complex technical challenges
Language Proficiency - Business-level English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher) with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
