As a Senior Residential Interior Designer at Madison Taylor Design, you will lead the design and execution of luxury new home & renovation projects, overseeing every phase from concept to completion. We are looking for a highly skilled designer with 10+ years of experience who excels in developing detailed designs and construction drawing packages and has a passion for designing large-scale, high-end projects. You will collaborate closely with the architecture, landscape, and project management teams to ensure cohesive design integration and exceptional project outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership: Lead the design of luxury residential interiors, developing innovative and sophisticated concepts that reflect the client’s vision and the firm’s commitment to excellence.
• Project Execution: Manage projects from concept through to final construction, maintaining the highest standards of quality across all phases.
• Construction Documentation: Develop detailed construction drawing packages that accurately represent all technical and design elements for execution.
• Integrated Collaboration: Coordinate with architectural, landscape, and décor teams to ensure a cohesive and holistic design experience.
• Client Engagement: Act as the primary client liaison, guiding them through design decisions and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
• Team Mentorship: Support the growth of junior designers by providing mentorship and design guidance.
• Material Curation: Select high-quality materials and finishes that align with both the aesthetic and functional goals of each project.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Diploma or Degree in Interior Design
• 10+ years of experience in interior design, with a focus on whole home luxury ($5m+) residential projects.
• 5+ years of experience leading full-scope interior design projects in Ontario for custom homes, from initial concept through to final completion.
• Proven experience developing detailed construction drawing packages, with a strong technical background.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing large-scale (5000sf+) homes.
• Proficiency in interior design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit and Lumion.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships effectively.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes, with a particular focus on luxury and large-scale projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong ability to meet deadlines.
• Passion for design excellence and creating exceptional spaces that blend functionality, aesthetics, and luxury.
