Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance both client/server and web-based applications.
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders—primarily in Japanese.
• Design and implement system architecture as a key member of an Agile development team.
• Construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines using DevOps best practices.
• Manage and execute testing strategies, including test case preparation and participation in review cycles.
• Oversee change management and deployment workflows.
• As a development lead, manage project milestones, coordinate tasks, and ensure timely delivery.
• Perform code reviews and ensure development quality across the team.
• Continuously analyze and improve graphical user interfaces and functionality for in-scope applications.
• Mentor and train colleagues on Agile development and DevOps practices.
• Provide Level 3 application support and take ownership of assigned systems.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on development experience in Java and Python on Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
• Proven experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps toolchains (including Git, Jenkins, Ansible, SonarQube, and Selenium).
• Strong working knowledge of Spring Framework and related Java open-source frameworks.
• Proficiency in database design and SQL Server management.
• Excellent communication skills in English and intermediate or above in Japanese , with the ability to communicate directly with Japanese business users.
• Experience in correlating business needs with technical solutions and implementing scalable, efficient systems.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in development projects, with the ability to manage schedules, milestones, and team coordination.

Preferred: 

• Hands-on attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience acting as a lead or trainer for Agile and DevOps within enterprise settings.
• Comfortable managing both development tasks and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced, delivery-oriented environment.

Japanese Language: Japanese Business level (JLPT N2) and English fluent level.
