Job Title: Business Analyst – IT Infrastructure
12 Months contract
Overview:
The successful candidate will complement contingent of staff and contract Business Analysts in the BTS’s IT Programs & Projects team and be assigned to work on projects within the IT Infrastructure Refresh Project.
Solid experience as a project-based Business Analyst is required in this role. Experience in public sector organizations and with IT Infrastructure projects is highly required
What you will be doing:
The successful candidate will provide Business Analysis services. Duties will include all aspects functional and solution analysis, including but not limited to the following:

Normal business analysis deliverables and supporting documentation will be expected, although they may be modified to suit the scope and scale of the project. These may include, but are not limited to, the following:
What you have:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree and formal training on business analysis and/or process improvement techniques.
Experience:
• 7+ years of business analysis and process improvement experience.
• Previous experience in IT Infrastructure projects (e.g., Data Centers, Networking, Client Computing)
• Experience in public sector organizations and with IT Infrastructure projects.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) is a plus but not a mandatory requirement.
• Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data to inform decisions about the implementation. This includes understanding how to use data analysis tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of project management processes and supporting governance controls.
• Training and experience in best practice business analysis techniques and processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and consolidate information from a variety of sources (i.e., documents, interviews, brainstorming sessions etc.).
• Proven record of accomplishment of working with business stakeholders to identify, assess, document, and recommend solutions that meet requirements.
• Ability to work with technical analysts/advisors and translate business requirements into detailed system specifications.
• Extensive experience implementing technology projects.
• Extensive experience gathering and analyzing functional and technical requirements and information from key business areas.
• Experience with conducting technical feasibility studies, identifying technical dependencies, and application road mapping.
• Knowledge and experience with the standard MS Office tools including Microsoft Visio (must be proficient).
• Experience with SharePoint.
