Job Description

Our client is opening a brand-new wellness centre in Toronto, and we’re looking for a Registered Massage Therapist to be part of this launch. As a Registered Massage Therapist, you will oversee the client experience at the Toronto location. Candidates must have a passion for massage treatments and the spa/wellness industry. You will play an integral role in providing a powerful experience for all guests and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience

• Perform massage treatments in accordance with the company’s protocols and techniques, ensuring an exceptional and relaxing guest experience.
• Communicate all relevant information about the treatment and the products used to the client, adhering to the provided manual and treatment protocols.
• Regularly check and maintain an adequate supply of all products required for the customer’s experience, reporting any shortages or low stock of any product used in various treatments.
• Ensure consistency in providing the same experience when treatments are scheduled for couples and coordinate effectively with the partner therapist.

Workplace

• Maintain the work areas in pristine condition, ensuring they are clean and prepared for use in any customer experience, following the company’s established protocols.
• Oversee the sanitation of the facilities under your responsibility, as well as the cleaning and maintenance of products and materials between each treatment.
• Ensure that the environmental conditions, such as noise, temperature, and humidity, align with the standards specified in the protocols.

Cross Departmental Support :

• During idle periods, Therapists are required to support other departments by assisting with operational, customer service, and organizational tasks as assigned by management. This collaboration ensures the smooth and efficient operation of all spa departments and upholds the company’s standards of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements

• Currently licensed in Ontario, Canada, required.
• Practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist for a minimum of 1 year.
• Must be available two (2) PM shifts and one (1) weekend shift.
• Must have at least (3) days of availability.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Team player and team builder.
• Energetic, engaging, and eager to work.
• Willing to develop new skills and experiences.
• Punctual, reliable, and flexible with scheduling according to business needs.
• Courteous and respectful to visitors, clients, co-workers, and the leadership team.
• Willing to perform massages and body treatments per the company’s direction and standards. Training will be provided.

Built in 1912 and later designated a heritage site, its original wood structure and towering pillars remain, preserving the character of its storied past that once held the art of printing and now embraces the art of relaxation.

Honouring its literary and industrial past, the space is adorned with vintage books, printing presses, which are subtle echoes of its history. The centre offers a unique experience with a dry sauna and a Palestra, an indoor/outdoor bath area seamlessly connected to the interior through two jet baths, creating a tranquil escape where past and present merge in perfect harmony.
