Professional Driver with Class 1A Licence - Rural Routes (LCV preferred).

Position Summary:
CWS Logistics needs a Professional Driver looking for a lifestyle that is hard to come by in the trucking industry.

Job Description:

• Delivery of agriculture products, to rural retail locations.
• Physically fit.
• Driver assisted off-loads (pallet jack 1000 kgs to back of the trailer).
• Occasionally handling 50 lb bags of seed.
• Days; Monday – Friday, with the occasional Saturday from April to June.

Job Requirements:

• No existing allergy to agriculture chemicals or pesticides.
• Clean Driver’s Abstract and qualify to be added to the CWS Logistics insurance policy without an additional surcharge.

Must provide a pre-employment “Police Criminal Record Check”, current within 30 days

• Must be able to read, write, and speak basic English and do basic math calculations.
• Proven work experience as a truck driver with a Valid Class 1A license.
• Working knowledge of Apple smartphones and IOS.
• Ability to do minor truck repairs, crawl, bend, and kneel to inspect under trucks and trailers.
• Ability to drive long hours, keeping within regulated hours of service legislation.
• Must be able to use ELD(Electronic Logging Device) and Paper Logbook.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pallet jack 1500 kg pallets of product from the nose of the trailer to the doors.
• Ability to climb trailers, stairs, ladders, and tractors; crank dolly legs and carry dolly pads.
• TDG certification obtained.
• English is spoken and written.

Additional Pay: 

• OT Hours.
• $7500 bonus at end of Contract. (If contract employee) 
• Potential for significant bonus pay. (inquire at interview)
