As a QA Specialist , you are responsible for contributing to complex engineer projects and products and drive technical quality and stability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Designers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software and hardware solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Translate engineering and business requirements into detailed test plans and execute for both manual and automated testing
  • Design and develop testing strategies through manual and automation planning
  • Recommend and implement testing tools, processes and environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, document and execute testing strategies across diverse selection of products and projects
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices through hardware and software design validation, conducting vigorous testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to mitigate security risks.
  • Drive team members to ensure successful execution and delivery of high-quality cross functional projects, with a focus on growth through mentoring, peer reviews, and training

Who Are You?

  • 4+ years of experience working in software or hardware development environment in a quality focused role
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Software and Information System Testing, or relevant degree
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated success and experience testing SaaS, Web & Mobile applications, tools and embedded firmware solutions
  • Self-motivated to succeed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Development experience is an asset
  • Experienced with requirements gathering tools (ex. Jama)
  • Knowledgeable in communication protocols such as Profinet, Modbus, CAN etc. is an asset
  • Understanding of software integration techniques, version control systems and engineering tools (e.g., GitHub, Jira)
  • Understanding of cyber security best practices and fundamentals
