Experience: 8–10 Years
Build and maintain backend API test automation covering:
Functional testing
Integration testing
Performance and load testing
Validate multi-step document generation and location resolution workflows.
Create mocks for external product/rate services to support isolated testing.
Design and manage dynamic test data strategies .
Implement negative and error-injection scenarios , including:
Timeouts
Missing or invalid metadata
Measure, analyze, and report performance baselines ; tune test harnesses for accuracy.
Validate application logging and metrics using AWS CloudWatch and OpenSearch .
Collaborate closely with developers on TDD story refinement and test strategy.
Provide ongoing quality metrics , reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA best practices.
8–10 years of overall IT experience with 3–5+ years in backend QA automation .
Strong experience in backend API automation testing .
Hands-on experience testing AWS services , including:
AWS Lambda
API Gateway
DynamoDB
Strong Node.js scripting experience for test automation.
Experience with API testing tools , including Postman (custom scripts) .
Exposure to performance and load testing tools and methodologies.
Solid understanding of test data management and mocking strategies .
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with TDD collaboration .
Experience validating observability and monitoring , including:
AWS CloudWatch
OpenSearch
Strong discipline in test data mocking and service virtualization .
Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices testing patterns.
