Job Brief: We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance strategies and procedures to ensure our software products meet or exceed customer expectations. They will also work closely with development teams to identify, isolate, and resolve software defects in a timely manner.
Responsibilities: - Work independently and/or on a small team to complete software projects and tasks.
- Contribute to test planning activities including developing documentation, estimating testing needs and time frames when appropriate.
- Create/update test plans, test cases, scenarios, and supporting data based on customer requirements and design documentation.
- Conduct walkthrough of QA Test Cases and Test Plans with the project team prior to execution.
- Execute manual/automated tests to validate that the software complies with standards and documented requirements. Perform Functional, Regression, Performance, and User Acceptance testing.
- Identify, analyze, and document defects using a defect reporting tool, including detailed descriptions, screenshots, and steps to reproduce.
- Evaluate test results and provide accurate, professional, and detailed status reports to communicate relevant information to stakeholders.
Requirements: - Post-secondary education in the field of computer science, information technology, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance experience and solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle in Waterfall and Agile environments
- Base understanding and hands on experience in technical documentation, standard IT policies and procedures, as well as a full comprehension of the SDLC process.
- Basic to Intermediate SQL query-writing skills.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with JavaScript will be an asset.
- Experience with API testing and Automation testing will be an asset.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills to be able to interact with a diverse team of business analysts, developers, QA team members to clarify specifications, identify and resolve various issues.
- Hands-on experience with the following tools and technologies:
- MS SQL Server 2014+
- TFS 2017+ / Azure DevOps ticket management
- Agile/Scrum development process
- Testing Tools – Postman, WCF Test, SOAP UI
- MS Office proficiency on Word, Excel in a SharePoint / OneDrive environment
- Manual testing and recording results of Winform and Webform Applications
- Preference will be given to those who have experience with most of these tools and technologies:
- Visual Studio Test Professional 2019+
- Salesforce UI
- Appium, Selenium, Rest Assured
- Microsoft Power Automate
- Testim.io, Ghost Inspector
