Job Description

About the Role:

• As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee research and development initiatives, managing the delivery of both production-ready software platforms and development tools in partnership with the motorcycle and automotive divisions.
• This position plays a key role in driving the transformation of the company into a software-focused organization within the automotive sector.
• Work in close coordination with Large Product Leads (LPLs) to ensure the delivery of competitive software solutions, hardware products, and technical consulting services.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of project management experience in software and/or hardware development.
• Native-level Japanese proficiency and business-level English skills.
• Strong knowledge of software development processes and environments.
• Flexible and eager to learn new project-related technologies.
• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Gantt chart tools).
• Familiar with project operations, including contract management and meeting facilitation.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
• Experience working in multicultural environments with diverse stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of ECU software and hardware.
• Understanding of vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
• Familiarity with hardware simulation and emulation for software development.
• Background in telecommunication technology.
• Insights into AD/ADAS systems.
• Experience with embedded systems development.
• Knowledge of positioning and navigation technologies.
• Experience managing projects in the automotive industry.
