About You and this Role

 

Providing design services to our customers by applying design best practices globally is a high priority for our business. We’re looking for a confident designer with agency or consulting experience that can serve our customers and partners to succeed in launching business critical digital solutions. We have a global design team covering Europe, Latin America, and North America that are excited to build with you in Asia Pacific. You’ll be working with sales and consulting teams, interfacing directly with prospects and customers along the complete software development lifecycle.

 

Sometimes you’ll work independently, guiding stakeholders along the entire design process from research and strategy to implementation, iterating along the way. Other times you'll work collaboratively with other designers to deliver the entire experience for customer projects. Recent enterprise solutions this role has delivered for were customer and insurance agent portals, a global logistics portal for shipping activities , and a multi-site e-commerce solution for a major manufacturer.

 

Key Objectives

 

  • Onboard and get to know the APAC business team and the global design team.

  • Lead the discovery and design for a variety of customer projects ranging from logistics, manufacturing, to government portals

  • With your manager and business stakeholders, build a strategy and process to increase our presales impact in APAC.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Excellent communication skills – fluent in Japanese with solid, conversational-level English – written communication is a significant part of our workflow.

  • 2+ years experience of successfully shipped end to end designs for digital products and web/mobile applications , leading customer-facing projects and workshops

  • Owned or worked within design systems that you regularly contributed to and helped evolve

  • Experience leading a visual design direction for a new or redesigned product that accounts for accessibility requirements

  • Business acumen  – being strategic and pragmatic about investing time and effort, while also effectively managing customer expectations.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience designing for B2B/enterprise will help your application stand out!

  • Agency experience working with clients to manage expectations is ideal

  • A passion for iconography or illustration – never hurts to have someone with an eye for these details
