Salary: $24 per hour plus benefits

We are currently looking for an energetic and well-organized individual who has extensive experience with private security services, to fill a full-time position at one of our customer locations in the Green Hills area. Job Responsibilities:

• Secure campus and personnel by patrolling campus, including buildings, parking lots, and athletic fields, as well as inspecting buildings and access points
• Maintain a positive and courteous demeanor, and communicate with others in a professional, and respectful manner
• Assist with daily carpool and traffic control
• Accompany personnel and students between buildings and to parking lots upon request.
• Formally log all observations, occurrences and surveillance activities in a timely and accurate manner. Supply daily reports to the supervisor and to other security personnel
• Politely direct campus guests to appropriate log-in points, and professionally notify unwanted visitors to leave the campus grounds.
• work shifts: 40 hours per week, will rotate from Monday   through Saturday 6:00 -19:30 . Evening campus events will require flexibility as the work shift covers later in the evening. Occasional shift coverage for other officers and large events will impact the typical work shift. Overtime expectancy.

Qualifications:  

• High School Diploma
• Five years of security or law enforcement experience desired
• Current Tennessee Armed Officer License
• CPR and First Aid Training preferred
• Specific and appropriate firearm training
• ability to be a first responder for emergencies by providing security and medical assistance
• Understands and is able to work professionally in a manner that is consistent with the customer’s culture
  
• Ability to lead by example and be a caring individual that values teamwork and customer service.
• Able to work in Smoke-Free campus
• Must be able to pass the TBI criminal background check required to work in educational facilities with children present
• Able to comply with the eligibility to work in the United States via a Federal E-Verify check
  

Physical:

• Work will be both indoor and outdoor and require long periods of movement and activity.
• Employment typically requires standing, walking, and working in noisy environments. 
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Carries firearm and other required security items at all times.

Compensation:

$24 per hour
