Job Title: Preconstruction Manager – Commercial Construction

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Salary: $100k to $115k

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subtrades, and authorities, while leading client service initiatives including proposals and project planning.
• Initiate scope and design coordination with consultants, lead integrated design meetings, and transition projects to the construction team with full documentation and planning input.
• Analyze drawings and specifications, perform takeoffs, develop budgets, and evaluate subtrade pricing to ensure value and alignment with client expectations.
• Manage the tendering process, negotiate and award subtrade contracts, and prepare cost sheets, budget modifications, permits, and purchase orders.
• Stay current with product innovations, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and maintain accurate project records in construction management systems.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in estimating or project management on commercial projects valued at $5M+.
• Degree or diploma in civil engineering technology, business, or design/drafting preferred, with strong math and analytical skills.
• Skilled in preparing estimates and take-offs, with experience using tools like BlueBeam, Procore, Building Connected, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders and subtrades, with a valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
