Pure Storage is looking for a Distribution Partner Account Manager (DPAM) to develop and manage the relationships with Distribution Partners in Japan.

The successful DPAM will work in tandem with Partner Technical Manager(s) to successfully deliver business growth through Distribution Partners in Japan. The DPAM will also collaborate with the Sales Technical Channel Support and Marketing team and perform as the Pure Storages main representative to Distribution Partners in Japan to position Pure Storage as the most innovative trusted business partner to them.

• Develop strategies to foster long-term business growth through Distribution Partners in Japan. Successful execution shall be built upon but not limited to below aspects
• Ability to 1) assess growth opportunities in the market based on partners strategy industry/customer trends and Pures global/regional strategy 2) Build concrete initiatives based on growth strategy and 3) Follow through with tenacity for results to be delivered.
• Gain and strengthen executive sponsorship to accelerate collaboration and be the main point of contact representing Pure Storage
• Champion Internal/External process details and always look for opportunities to streamline the operational engagement between Distis and Pure Storage - Quoting Logistics Invoicing Demo Equipment etc.
• Develop & Drive sales technical and marketing capability at the Distribution Partners (in partnership with respective internal counterparts)
• Drive incremental pipeline through technology alliance solutions

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM...

• A very strategic mind with ability to represent the company with a strong desire to realize larger impacts through partnership.
• Demonstrated ability to grow business with distribution partners in related industry / products / services.
• Strong ability to collaborate with many layers of stakeholders who are not necessarily in direct report-to org structure.
• Communication skills in Japanese and English. Native-level Japanese is a must and the candidate has to be fluent in English to ensure global alignment.
