PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR/ ANGELES DISTRICT/ MALIBUSECTOR/ MALIBU CREEK STATE PARK

The reporting location for this position is at the Malibu Creek State Park. This position will work under the direction of the Park Maintenance Chief I. The incumbent will supervise the overall maintenance operations of the Sector, which is comprised of Malibu Creek State Park, Adamson House, Malibu Lagoon, Malibu Pier, Point Mugu SP, Leo Carrillo SP, RH Meyer beaches, and Point Dume Preserve. At times the incumbent may work district wide to provide support to sectors as needed with district managed projects. The incumbent will assist in developing the Sector’s maintenance budget, facilitate the purchase of new and replacement equipment; will manage maintenance seasonal funds and ensure proper training and safety procedures for assigned park units/sector maintenance employees. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring all facilities and equipment are kept safe and operational. These park units serve the Ventura and Los Angeles inland valley to the coast, including 22,000 acres of back country fire road and public trails.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

The incumbent’s work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) , this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory, but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR .
