OnSite Specialist - Chesapeake, VA at Stryker

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment.
• Anticipates related device needs of the O.R. staff and surgeon during surgical procedures.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining Stryker equipment and related devices.
• Works with surgeons, O.R. personnel, central processing, biomedical and other related personnel.
• Maintains knowledge base of equipment and disposable products through Stryker education training programs.
• Provides physicians and O.R. personnel with information on new and current products.
• Accurately records and reports data metrics related to job functions on a monthly basis.
• Maintains up-to-date account information to ensure high levels of service at the account.
• Records and reports all surgical procedure information accurately.
• Adheres to Stryker and medical facility policies, standards and procedures.
• Analyzes and resolves routine and non-routine product issues expediently using independent judgment.
• Provides on-call services as required by the medical facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree, Associates Degree or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Operating Room experience and knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures and techniques preferred.
• For Sterile Processing role: IAHCSMM CRCST Certification within 6 months of start date with on-time yearly renewal where applicable.
• Physical ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs to move objects; ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent time management, independent judgment and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to explain and generate detailed guidelines and procedures; professional appearance and work ethic.
• Adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality policies.
• Near visual acuity (corrected), color vision, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and equipment problem-solving skills.
• 5-10% travel required.
