Global Sourcing Specialist – Appliances Industry

We are conducting a highly confidential search for a Global Sourcing Specialist with deep, hands-on expertise in the appliances sector . This is not a top-tier executive mandate; rather, we are seeking a highly connected, market-savvy sourcing professional who understands the appliance landscape at a granular level and can deliver impact quickly.

This role is designed for someone who brings existing supplier relationships, real-time market intelligence, and proven experience sourcing appliances globally . Candidates without direct appliance industry experience will not be considered.

Role Overview

The Global Sourcing Specialist will play a critical role in identifying, vetting, and securing reliable global suppliers and manufacturers within the appliance industry. The focus is on speed to value, competitive advantage, and expanding sourcing capabilities through strong networks and informed decision-making.

Reporting into Operations, this role partners closely with purchasing, warehouse operations, and sales leadership to ensure sourcing strategies align with commercial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and source qualified suppliers and manufacturers within the global appliance industry
• Leverage existing industry relationships to unlock sourcing opportunities quickly
• Vet suppliers for quality, compliance, capacity, and category alignment
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure competitiveness
• Evaluate supplier cost structures, production capabilities, and scalability
• Introduce new product categories, sourcing solutions, and market opportunities
• Provide insights on industrys industry trends, emerging markets, and sourcing innovations
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align sourcing decisions with business strategy

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5–10+ years of sourcing or procurement experience specifically within the appliance industry
• Demonstrated network of appliance manufacturers and suppliers globally (Asia, Europe, North America)
• Proven experience qualifying factories for quality, compliance, and operational standards
• Strong negotiation skills across cost, timelines, and supplier agreements
• Ability to identify new categories, ideas, and market opportunities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Culturally astute, comfortable operating across global markets and diverse supplier bases

Must-Have Criteria

• Existing, verifiable network within the appliance sourcing ecosystem
• Hands-on global sourcing experience (not strategic-only or indirect exposure)
• Track record of delivering sourcing results in competitive, fast-paced environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with ERP and contract management systems
• Supply chain certifications (CPSM, CPIM, Lean Six Sigma)
• Background with appliance manufacturers, retailers, or direct competitors (e.g., large global appliance brands)

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary in the $120K–$130K+ range , flexible for the right candidate
• Annual bonus potential (5–10%)
