Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and professional Class 1 Driver   Long Distance to join our transportation team at our Lévis Quebec site Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from customer sites and other AIM facilities. 

What youre responsible for:

• Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle to transport metal materials while ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
• Perform routine inspections before and after truck trips ensuring that the truck is in good working order
• Load and unload metal materials onto the truck safely using the appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent movement or damage during transport if necessary
• Complete accurate and complete delivery records and any other required documentation
• Provide quality customer service

Qualifications :

To join our team:

• You have a valid Class 1 drivers license with FM endorsement and a clean driving record.
• You have experience driving manual transmissio n vehicles.  
• You have at least one year of experience as a Class 1 driver .
• You are customer service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• You have good physical endurance and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities as needed. 
• You have a good knowledge of metal recycling processes and materials (an asset). 
• You have experience with dump trucks/roll-offs. (an asset)
• You are in good physical condition and have a strong concern for safety
• You have good customer service skills
• You are punctual reliable and respectful of equipment
