Role Summary  

Reporting to the Director, Marketing Communications, this Marketing Specialist, Social Media role is a 16-month contract role that combines execution and digital storytelling.

The successful candidate will produce and optimize content across owned social channels and Farber’s Blog. This role focuses on executing Farber’s editorial content calendar by drafting and scheduling social posts and writing long-form articles and short-form copy, community moderation and creating basic graphics and short-form video. 

Candidates should have experience executing social and content, including first-person–style video creation/editing for platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Reels, with native-level written English; community management, French language skills, and basic video production are pluses. 

Key Responsibilities 

Social Content Creation & Publishing 

• Produce, schedule, and publish social media posts. 

• Perform community moderation/management, escalating. 

Blog & Article Writing 

• Write long-form blog posts based on briefs and outlines; applying provided SEO guidance, relying on internal Subject Matter Experts where applicable. 

Creative & Video Editing 

• Use Canva or similar to produce basic graphics (social cards, thumbnails) and consumer-grade short-form video edits (reels, captions, trims) aligned to brand.

Quality Assurance 

• Conduct QA for links, formatting, and visuals. 

• Ensure consistency with brand voice, tone, and compliance guidelines. 

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of hands-on experience executing social and content, preferably for a brand or agency.

• Proven ability to create long-form (blog writing) and short form social media (Facebook, Instagram) in accordance with brand standards. 

• Keen eye for detail. 

• Demonstrated ability to multitask and balance competing tasks. 

• Ability to create/edit “first-person-style” videos for platforms like TikTok , YouTube, Shorts and Reels. 

• Exceptional, error-free, written and verbal English communication skills. 

Nice-to-have: 

• Community Management Experience. 

• Video production skills. 

• French language (written and spoken).
