Position Summary The Marketing intern will work closely with our creative marketing, media, and commercial sales teams to create and implement marketing campaigns for the Plumbing & Mechanical marketing channel including email, content marketing, direct mail, sales and communications tools and more. In this role you will develop skills specific to digital advertising and omnichannel marketing. Ex: project management, content marketing, packaging development, trade show requirements, promotional and campaign development, as well as soft skills and importance of teamwork.
As a part of the intern program, you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the following:
- Networking Events - Zurn Elkay hosts multiple networking opportunities in the Summer that give you exposure to other interns, the leadership team, and executive leaders.
- Coaching and Mentoring - You will have a structured on boarding process to introduce you to Zurn Elkay's corporate culture and provide you with regular feedback.
- Real Work Experience - Our internship process does not include getting coffee for your boss or running copies. We will provide you with a real opportunity to run reports, share your analysis, and improve our processes.
You will gain exposure to:
- Content marketing proficiency
- Understanding organizational structure and how channel works with creative, product, marketing and commercial sales
- Develop and execute go to marketing commercial channel plans for new product development
- Engage with commercial sales team to understand what is needed to drive revenue with new product launch
- Execute and communicate on requested deliverables
- Assist in daily activities for regional growth, showroom channel and tradeshows
Qualifications/Requirments - Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Communications or related field of study
- GPA of 3.5 or higher strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work 40 hours per week during the summer in the Downers Grove, IL office
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Candidates must be located in Downers Grove, IL area
