About Project:
Large-scale project for Global Insurance company.
Role and responsibilities:
- Fluent in reading writing and conversing in both Japanese & English languages to establish good coordination and communication with Customer Onsite and Offshore teams
- Hands on experience on AS400 system adminstration
- Actively involve in the primary responsibilities that include but not limited to: - Install maintain and upgrade any assets required to support the Mainframe life cycle capacity or performance requirements including servers Mainframe Infrastructure storage devices server applications database middleware system automation and service utilities - Implement and coordinate all change management activities to the infrastructure including those that may affect any service levels including those with respect to other services or any service levels provided by other Service Contractors - Implement and manage scheduling tools for managing/automating job execution (e.g. job workflow processes interdependencies CLIENT contacts and rerun requirements file exchange functions) - Execute ad hoc scheduled and on-demand production and non-production batch jobs on required systems - Plan and implement validation of DR solution via exercises at an agreed to frequency with CLIENT - Develop and document in the Standards and Procedures Manual infrastructure platform administration procedures that meet requirements and adhere to defined policies
- Actively contribute towards various Transformation initiatives (Process maturity Performance tuning Storage optimization etc.) to achieve the project goals
- Collaborate with Infra IT and business teams to ensure seamless system availability and performance
- Participate in performance reviews technical documentation and knowledge sharing
Requirements
Must:
- JLPT N2 or N1 certified. Fluent in reading writing and conversing in Japanese with native speakers
- Must have more than 5 years of IT experience in AS400 Server adminsitration and maintenance projects
- Ability to effectively coordinate with Customer SMEs Onsite and Offshore teams
- Actively involve in Application transition and stabilization phases by aligning to Japan (JST) working hours
Nice to have:
- Exposure on IBM iSeries architecture/components ITIL Agile methodology DevOps
- Insurance domain knowledge is added advantage
