Job Description

Job Objective: The goal of the investment portion of the Family Office is to: evaluate potential or existing investments, analyze the performance of current external investment managers, and summarize public and private activity that is potentially relevant to the family.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

· Preparing PowerPoint slides for presentations to the family on a very broad range of special topics.

· Calculating investment performance on a monthly or quarterly basis.

· Reviewing and improving analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security.

· Reading limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, and other contracts at least at a high-level ‘first look’ basis.

· Daily monitoring of key commodities and securities prices including trading patterns, and news as it relates to those commodities and securities.

· Perform ad hoc project analysis, as required.

· Monitoring external manager holdings and performance and meeting current managers on a regular basis.

· Updating financial asset holdings for regular weekly and monthly reports.

· Meeting with numerous prospective managers and assisting in the analysis of diverse new potential investments including private equity, private credit, real estate, agriculture, municipal bonds, high yield corporate bonds, and public equities.

· Excellent communication and ability to interact with senior management.

· Other duties as assigned.

Other Job Responsibilities:

· Maintain family, employee and personal matters in strict confidence and protect corporate assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.

· Ready for a challenge, willing to take on additional new roles and manage new processes as they arise.

Qualifications:

· 2-5 years working in investment banking, commercial banking, public accounting or consulting.

· Solid background in math, basic accounting, and finance.

· Strong command of financial and statistical analytics.

· Previous experience analyzing mutual funds, stocks, and investment portfolios preferred.

· Curiosity about business and financial markets.

· Ability to solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.

· Detail oriented with excellent follow-through and initiative.

· Strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and complete multiple commitments simultaneously.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and the family.

· Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook); PowerPoint.
