• The institution is structured into several entities: one focuses on securities services, another on banking operations, and a third on asset management. Its Tokyo branch serves as a key access point to global wholesale markets, offering services such as foreign exchange, derivatives, and liquidity management. The asset management arm specializes in investment trusts, leveraging global risk management and investment capabilities to meet diverse investor needs.

The Role

• Lead the execution of Continuous Monitoring activities, engaging with senior stakeholders to assess the impact of business changes on risk profiles, control environments, and the audit plan.
• Manage complex and sensitive discussions with stakeholders regarding audit findings and exceptions.
• Independently prepare and review responses to regulatory inquiries, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational standards.
• Oversee the identification and resolution of actual or perceived conflicts related to audit independence and objectivity.
• Design and deliver a robust and insightful annual audit plan aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Draft high-quality audit reports, tailoring language and tone to suit various audiences and ensuring clarity and impact.
• Supervise the tracking, validation, and closure of audit issues across a portfolio, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to quality standards, while effectively managing stakeholder expectations on contentious matters.
