Job Description

An industrial cleaner maintains a clean and safe environment in industrial facilities like factories and warehouses by performing a wide range of cleaning tasks . Key responsibilities include using heavy-duty equipment, handling chemicals, removing waste, and following strict safety procedures to clean machinery, floors, and general areas.

Key responsibilities

• Performing general janitorial duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and waste removal.
• Operating and maintaining specialized cleaning equipment, like high-pressure washers and industrial vacuums.
• Cleaning and sanitizing machinery, tanks, and other industrial equipment.
• Handling and disposing of hazardous waste and chemicals safely.
• Performing deep cleaning tasks on structures like ceilings, walls, and beams.
• Following and enforcing strict safety standards and procedures.
• Inspecting equipment and facilities for maintenance needs or potential hazards.
• Documenting cleaning activities, procedures, and any encountered issues.

Required skills and qualifications

• Physical strength and stamina.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper usage.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is often required.
